CONTEXT, along with the 26th edition of Art Miami, commences on December 1, 2015, with the sister fair's highly anticipated Opening Night VIP Preview to benefit the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) and Miami Light Project. The 2014 preview attracted 14,000 collectors, curators, artists, connoisseurs and designers, and the fair hosted a total of 82,500 attendees over a six-day period. This immediately reinforced the CONTEXT fair as a proven destination and serious marketplace for top collectors to acquire important works from the leading international galleries representing emerging and mid-career cutting-edge works of art.

The combined exhibition space of CONTEXT and Art Miami will increase the overall roster of galleries to 200 participants and cover 250,000 square feet. Pinta Miami
December 1 - 6, 2015
Mana Wynwood, 318 NW 23rd Street, Miami, FL 33127
http://www.pintamiami.com/

Since its creation in 2007, Pinta has distinguished itself from the rest of the art fairs for its specific profile, defining its proposal geographically, placing its bet on quality while focusing on Latin American art identities and issues, and inviting mainstream galleries and artists with the aim of offering an international platform for the dissemination of art from Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula.

Its director, cultural manager and editor, Diego Costa Peuser, identifies the need for growth of the art market of Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula, and offers this platform to acknowledge the city of Miami as a new venue to consolidate the fair and to continue the promotion of Latin American and Iberian artists, fostering their expansion towards a global context.

Currently, contemporary art from Latin America, Spain and Portugal has gained an important place - in biennials, museums and institutions all over the globe. From its first edition to the present, Pinta has stood out for the quality of its curatorial staff and its collaboration with specialized institutions and art organizations.

Last year a very large number of food trucks (great place to eat) were located close by Pinta's new location, most likely this year too. Also, X Contemporary is joining them in the same building.

Announcing the launch of X Contemporary, a new art fair to debut during Art Basel Miami Beach 2015. Under the direction of Matthew Eck, X Contemporary will focus on presenting exhibitors with a strong program of work by emerging and mid-career artists. The inaugural edition of X Contemporary will take place December 1-6, 2015 with a vernissage for VIP guests and press on December 1st, from 5 to 10 pm.

The symbol X represents a destination point and an area of intersection, an evocative title for a new breed of art fair that will emphasize a crossover between the visual and performing arts and invite unique music, fashion and brand collaborations. The X Contemporary pavilion will provide a dedicated exhibition space as well as a separate area to facilitate the performance and music aspects of X Contemporary, without interfering with fairgoers' viewing experience. In addition to the fair's open hours, there will be a nightly schedule of live events meant to create a destination spot at X Contemporary when fair business hours transition to nightlife.

Wynwood Walls
Conceived by the renowned community revitalizer and placemaker Tony Goldman in 2009. He was looking for something big to transform the warehouse district of Wynwood, and he arrived at a simple idea: "Wynwood's large stock of warehouse buildings, all with no windows, would be my giant canvases to bring to them the greatest street art ever seen in one place." Starting with the 25th-26th Street complex of six separate buildings, his goal was to create a center where people could gravitate to and explore, and to develop the area's pedestrian potential.
