IRVING PENN
FORTY PRINT RETROSPECTIVE
SEPTEMBER 27 - OCTOBER 29, 1978
45 Print Retrospective. Selections were made from each body of his work.
This was a very expensive exhibit to produce, because each piece had
to
be custom framed. Because of the tremendous costs, I made the
decision
to charge a $1.00 admission fee. Many people were stunned when being
asked
for a small fee just to visit an art gallery. The gallery lost money
putting on
this exhibition but it was worth it because it was a terrific show.
