Supporting Asheville’s art community – Asheville is a vibrant creative hub that faced significant challenges during the flooding after Hurricane Helene in September 2024. Many galleries, arts organizations, and artists were impacted. Your visits and purchases help sustain this remarkable art scene. In particular, the River Arts District (RAD), once home to nearly 175 artist studios in 25 buildings, suffered severe losses; some buildings were destroyed. :contentReference[oaicite:3]{index=3} Many artists and galleries are now returning—and the RAD is open and evolving again.
The First Friday Art Walk in downtown Asheville is making a comeback! From July through November, galleries open their doors on the first Friday of each month from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. Experience the creative energy of Asheville through gallery openings, live music, artist demonstrations, and family-friendly events.
