We've been dedicated to providing art and gallery guides because art galleries, museums, non-profit art organizations, and artists matter. Our guides were created to help you easily discover art in various communities whether you are visiting them, planning a visit, or living in them. As art advocates, our goal has always been to help the traditional fine art world and those who love it. Much has changed on the Internet since we started years ago. Art-Collecting.com was founded by Dan Fear who is still actively directing the website. Before starting this site in 1998, he was owner, director and curator of THE SILVER IMAGE GALLLERY in Seattle, from 1973 to 1993. He has worked with art collectors, galleries, museums, artists, and private dealers for more than forty years. He has also organized and curated more than 270 exhibitions including two museum exhibitions and he has authored two art resource books and consults on issues related to collecting art.
