Our goal is to provide a comprehensive online resources for all art enthusiasts, including: collectors,
art advisors, consultants, galleries, and artists. We also offer the best, most thoroughly researched online gallery guides
for major art cities and every state, as well as European art centers. Visitors are provided with an up-to-date,
reliable source of information about current exhibitions as well as a wide variety of art collecting topics and interests.

Our guides were created to help you easily discover art in various art communities whether you are visiting them,
planning a visit, or living in them. Click on Art Gallery Guides in the top navigation
and you'll find art guides for every state and thirty-seven major art cities. Each guide is divided into sections
and organized in geographic locations. Links take you directly to the listed art businesses where you can quickly
see what's showing and going on.
As art advocates, our goal has always been to help the traditional fine art world and those who love it.
Much has changed on the Internet since we started 26 years ago. However, we're still working hard to provide you with

Art-Collecting.com was founded by Dan Fear who is still actively directing the website. Before starting this site
in 1998, he was owner, director and curator of THE SILVER IMAGE GALLLERY
in Seattle, from 1973 to 1993. He has worked with art collectors, galleries, museums, artists, and private dealers for more
than forty years. He has also organized and curated more than 270 exhibitions including two museum exhibitions and he has
authored two art resource books and consults on issues related to collecting art.
