THE SILVER IMAGE GALLERY

Twenty Years of Photography Exhibitions
August 10, 1973 - May 8, 1993

Dan Fear owned and directed The Silver Image Gallery for twenty years.
This web page was created as an archive to show what we exhibited and the artists featured.

Many people contributed to the success of the gallery here are a few:
Paul Horst, Rodney Stuart, Andy Osteheimer, Claudia Bach, Charles Cowles,
Adrienne Salinger, Deborah Paine, Courtney Coolidge, and Madeleine Hill.
They all deserve special recognition for their contributions to the success of The Silver Image.
Thank you for everything you did and for your support.
Many others also contributed and worked at the gallery, thank you too.

IRVING PENN
FORTY PRINT RETROSPECTIVE
SEPTEMBER 27 - OCTOBER 29, 1978
45 Print Retrospective. Selections were made from each body of his work.
This was a very expensive exhibit to produce, because each piece had to
be custom framed.  Because of the tremendous costs, I made the decision
to charge a $1.00 admission fee. Many people were stunned when being asked
for a small fee just to visit an art gallery. The gallery lost money putting on
this exhibition but it was worth it because it was a terrific show.
